The tea trade offers a vast scope in terms of career progression opportunities. The early stages of your career will be spent gathering experience and knowledge in the various aspects of the tea trade. There are three main areas that could gain experience in, which are buying and blending tea and customer servicing.
The opportunity could also arise to be part of the global tea network through secondments or short term assignments.

Qualities & skills

We are looking for a suitable candidate who has the drive to achieve great heights. Someone who is flexible and has a desire to keep learning since knowledge earns respect in the tea trade. You must also possess exceptional communication, negotiation and influencing skills in order to deal with the various stakeholders involved. Qualifications in natural science complemented by a keen sense of smell and taste (to fully understand and appreciate the bio chemical properties of tea) or a supply management background will qualify you to work with us.
