Career progression

Progression is based purely on merit & potential. With advice & guidance from your Manager & HR, you will take control of your own career development.

Planning your Career

Careful planning ensures you build a strong foundation on which your career can progress. You should gain experience and a track record of success across a range of operating environments and processes, and develop capability in your chosen area of expertise.

Career planning is a continuous process but as a general guide you should plan out your career by your fifth year of work. Before moving to the next level, you should expect to have at least eight to twelve years of relevant professional experience, including time spent as a trainee or in other Companies. Performing well will lead to opportunities to take on more challenging roles.

Vast Scope

Whatever your passion may be, we offer you an array of career choices ranging from Marketing, Sales (Customer Development), Finance, Supply Chain (Manufacturing) to Human Resources, Tea and IT.  You could choose to build your career in one of these functions, should your experience and qualifications enable you to.

Within these functions you will find many other avenues. For example a career in Supply Chain could include Customer Service and Distribution, Planning, Supply Management and Manufacturing.

On the other hand if it’s a career in Brands or Customer Development you’re looking at, you have the option of working in Category and Brand Building, Customer and Channel Marketing or Customer Management.

International Assignments

Exceptional performers will have the opportunity to gain valuable international exposure through various foreign assignments and operational visits. This experience is essential in many roles within a global organisation. On a personal level you will gain a greater appreciation and understanding of other cultures and their ways of working. You will also gain exposure through both regional and global roles as well as international project teams.
