Unilever Sri Lanka excels at SLIM Brand Excellence 2011
Unilever Sri Lanka reconfirmed its excellence in marketing at the recently concluded SLIM Brand Excellence Awards 2011. The Company’s key brands Surf Excel, Signal and Astra collectively won five awards at the ceremony held at Waters Edge on the 18th of October 2011.
Unilever Sri Lanka’s premium washing powder brand Surf Excel won ‘Product Brand of the Year’ and ‘International Brand of the Year’ awards. Whilst Signal, Sri Lanka’s leading oral care brand won the Silver Award for ‘Product Brand of the Year’ and the Bronze Award for ‘International Brand of the Year’. Margarine brand, Astra won the award for the category ‘Local Brand of the Year’, confirming Unilever’s appeal and identification with the Sri Lankan consumer.
