Lifebuoy promotes health & hygiene in Kandy

Unilever, the premier FMCG company in Sri Lanka, with its flagship germ-fighter brand Lifebuoy is conducting activation camps in Kandy, Kurunegala and Tissamaharamaya, giving those living in the area an invaluable opportunity of getting themselves informed about germs and germ protection. The campaign will commence with the camp which is to be will be held at Sri Rahula College premises on the 20th of May '12.

Many activities are planned for the day to educate general public including children and parents about germs in a more interactive and interesting way using games, stage shows and educational programs etc. Those who win will stand a chance for gifts too.

As a prelude, you will see Lifebuoy branded trucks and vans in the town nearing the event, talking to you and to others and distributing leaflets about the event. They will brief you about the content of the program and the importance of good health & hygienic practices, such as using of soap during the key user occasions of having a bath everyday, washing hands before any meal and washing hands after going to the toilet.

Lifebuoy’s Germ Fighting Mission

Commenting on the program, Ms. Saumya Perera, Senior Brand Manager, Lifebuoy said “germs are around us all the time. Washing hands without soap cannot get rid of germs. Lifebuoy protects you from 10 common disease causing germs. Children are especially prone to germinal attacks since they are more active in outdoor activities”.
